Celebrating Gratitude: My Habitual Balance Favorites

Gratitude has a way of shifting everything—our perspective, our mood, even the pace of our day. Whenever I feel off-balance, I come back to practices that remind me to notice the small joys and simple gifts all around me. To celebrate that, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Habitual Balance articles about gratitude—the stories, reflections, and reminders that always help me reset and appreciate life a little more.

Spending time on the water reminded me how grateful I am for the freedom to choose a life that feels more like mine. Kayaking at North Park Lake with Venture Outdoors wasn’t just a fun morning—it was a chance to slow down, breathe, and recognize how much joy comes from being in nature. Gratitude for becoming your own boss

Intentional Gratitude

Gardening has reminded me how much there is to be grateful for in the simple things. From the smell of fresh soil to the joy of a seedling popping through, each little moment feels like a gift. It’s these everyday wins that keep me grounded and thankful.   Still Growing: Garden Life, Kitchen Wins, and Why I Took a Little Detour

Working from home hasn’t been all sunlight and freedom—it’s been late nights, growing pains, and a lot of self-motivation. But in the middle of the chaos, I’m grateful for the community that shows up, for the little reminders that what I create matters, and for the chance to keep learning as I go. Every new subscriber or encouraging word reminds me I’m not in this alone, and that gratitude fuels me to keep moving forward.  Becoming Your Own Boss Is The Longest Hike You’ll Ever Take: Real Talk On Working From Home And Growing The Hell Up
