Today I look back at some of my favorite posts involving animals. One of my favorite things when traveling is to fully envelope myself in nature and that includes some of our four legged (and winged) friends. Yay! 🐾
Where else would I possibly begin other than by talking about my dogs? They are, after all, such a huge part of my life and the source of so much joy, chaos, and unconditional love. In this post, I’m sharing what being a dog mom really means to me. From the everyday moments, the small routines, and the lessons these incredible animals have taught me. From early morning walks to late-night cuddles, they’ve shaped the rhythm of my days and brought out sides of me I didn’t even know existed. These fur babies have inspired me in ways big and small, reminding me to be patient, present, and grateful for the simple things. So here’s a little peek into my life with them and what I’ve learned along the way.

Have you ever faced a moment when fear made you question whether you were capable of something? That deep, uneasy feeling that maybe what’s ahead is just too much for you to handle? That’s exactly how I felt standing at the base of Angel’s Landing, staring up at its steep, winding trail and wondering if I had it in me to make it to the top. Every step felt like a mix of excitement and doubt, the kind of challenge that tests more than just your body, but your courage, too. Somewhere along that climb, a chance encounter changed everything. When a massive condor soared gracefully above us, it shifted my entire perspective. Watching it glide effortlessly through the open air reminded me to trust myself.

In this post, I discuss how restoring and recharging ourselves should be more of a priority in life. We can be so busy and life can be so demanding that it’s easy to forget to slow down and make space for the things that fill us back up. For me, finding that restorative time includes a variety of things such as quiet mornings, long walks, and moments spent completely unplugged from the rush of the day. But near the very top of that list is spending time with my pups. There’s something about their joyful energy and unconditional love that instantly grounds me. Whether we’re out exploring or just curled up at home, those moments with them remind me how important it is to pause, breathe, and simply be present.

The Confluence is still, without a doubt, one of my all-time favorite trips. That journey was more than just a hike; it was a challenging and deeply rewarding adventure that revealed the incredible beauty and power of nature at every turn. This trail tested us with its rugged terrain and demanding stretches, but it also offered some of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. Every mile felt like a reminder of how vast and awe-inspiring the natural world can be. When we finally arrived at the spot where Havasu Creek meets the Colorado River, it felt almost magical. The vivid turquoise of the creek blending with the deep, earthy tones of the river was something I’ll never forget. As we paused to take it all in, we noticed a few fish gathered together in the water, calmly swimming where the two forces met, forming a quiet and perfect moment that captured the harmony of that place.
