Habitual Balance Healthy Lifestyle

Welcome to Habitual Balance by Rooted Drawers!

Hello my friends! Shelby here, your virtual friend and fellow human being. Coming at you with a whole new twist on blogging and here to talk about all things health, fitness, and wholesome experiences throughout our mental and physical journey through life.

While it’s clear to me that there are plenty of others on the internet doing similar things as they blog throughout their time spent, I’m here to show you that you’re not alone. The way that you feel and the way that you express yourself and the way that you do anything in life is formed from habits.

Habits are something that are developed throughout a timeline in your life that can be a great or not so great thing, depending on what habits you’ve created for yourself. Perhaps you’ve become a couch potato, (hey, we all have those days!), or maybe you’ve stopped running lately and keep making excuses as to why you can’t do the “thing,” whatever it may be.

Hey friends! Shelby here — your virtual buddy and fellow human just popping in with a fresh take on blogging. I’m here to chat about all things health, fitness, and the meaningful moments that shape both our mental and physical journeys through life.

Sure, there are plenty of people online sharing similar stories and experiences. But I want you to know this: you’re not alone in how you feel or how you move through the world. The way we think, act, and show up every day is shaped by our habits — often more than we realize.

Habits form over time, and they can work for us or against us depending on what we’ve built. Maybe you’ve been leaning into couch-potato mode lately (no judgment — we’ve all been there), or maybe you’ve fallen out of a routine like running and keep finding reasons to put it off. Whatever your “thing” is, it happens — and it’s part of the process.

About Habitual Balance

Intentional Habitual Balance

Allow me to help you along in this journey by encouraging you to take the leap and do the thing more often. Move more, run more, make more music. Whatever it is that you love to do, do it with ease and with intention. Create healthy habits that become second nature to you and realize just how special you are as a human.

We have so much more potential to unlock within ourselves that are never expressed. Why? Likely because we’ve not been taught to do so. We’re taught our ABC’s, to do basic math, and to be a good person. It’s almost like we skip the part of learning to take care of ourselves. Is the knowledge of doing so really that common?

I’ve found that it’s not. It’s hard to find these things about ourselves, and it’s even harder to find someone else going through them to learn together what your true potential could really be.

What do you say we take this trip of life together? We can create new habits and balance them accordingly. We can move through mental boundaries and create new physical routes to take that help to form our best selves. Let’s become habitual together in all things we do, and find out just exactly what we were destined to become in this lifetime.
