Amazon has several clean body products like this lotion this lady is using by her bath tub.

7 Clean Amazon Body Products We’re Using While Prepping for a Healthier Life

Lately, we’ve been clearing out the junk…(like literal garbage bags full, 🙈 in our cabinets, in our routines, and yeah… in our ingredient lists, too. Between training for Mt. Whitney and quietly gearing up to try for a family sometime soon 😳, we’ve been slowly trading in the sketchy stuff for products that don’t make us wonder what our skin just absorbed.

But here’s the thing: this wasn’t one of those overnight “toss it all and start fresh” moments. That’s not the vibe here. These swaps happened over time, like, over months and years of side-eying our old products, adding one new one to the cart every so often, and pretending it wasn’t sitting in “Save for Later” for three Prime Days in a row.

Some of these are simple, some feel a little bougie, and all of them made it into our regular routines without making us roll our eyes at ourselves. 🙄 And no, you don’t need all 7 right now. If you celebrate holidays, birthdays, or just “randomly decided I’m worth a splurge” days, that’s the move. Pick one, see how it feels. If it vibes? Add another later.

Here are the seven that stuck around, and why they made the cut.

TREAT YO’SELF. ✨👇

1. Nécessaire The Mineral Sunscreen

Fragrance-free, non-nano zinc, and surprisingly wearable for something that doesn’t smell like a beach vacation.

We first grabbed this before a hiking trip, mostly because we were swapping our daily stuff for more pregnancy-safe options and this one checked all the right boxes. We didn’t expect to actually like it, but it’s light, non-greasy, and feels kind of fancy in a good way. It’s not a spray, which we’ve honestly come to prefer since you don’t end up misting a cloud of weird coconut scent all over your face.

It’s the first sunscreen we didn’t shove into a drawer the second we got home, which says a lot.

2. ILIA Limitless Lash Mascara

A clean mascara that actually works, no flakes, no clumps, and it washes off with regular face wash like a dream.

This stuff is the bee’s knees. I was a loyal Burt’s Bees mascara girly for years because I loved being able to rinse it off without playing tug-of-war with my lashes. Most other mascaras make me feel like I’m removing industrial paint… but not this one. It looks fantastic, feels weightless, and doesn’t leave me looking like I lost a fight with a raccoon.

Bonus points for the travel-size option since I never finish a full tube before it expires anyway.

3. Ursa Major Natural Deodorant

This one’s all about the hubs. He works in construction, which means sweat is a given, and most “natural” deodorants he tried either gave up by lunch or made things worse. This is the first one that actually held up through long days, didn’t cause irritation, and made us both less scared of hugs after work. When a brand actually cares if their product works, magic happens.

4. Pacifica Island Vanilla Perfume

I didn’t expect to find a non-toxic perfume that actually smelled good. But this one’s cozy, subtle, and doesn’t give me headaches like most perfumes do. It’s become a feel-good part of my morning routine.

I used to drown myself in those giant plastic body sprays like it was my job. Not only did I probably smell like a mall kiosk, but I was also misting chemicals all over my skin every single day. This one feels like a total upgrade, it comes in a glass bottle, smells amazing, and is clean AF. Total win.

5. Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt (Fragrance Free)

Simple. Affordable. And finally free of all the stuff we don’t want soaking into our skin.

We made the switch from the scented versions after learning that even “natural” essential oils in hot bath water can sometimes cause irritation or mess with your skin barrier, especially if you’re soaking often (hi, post-hike legs). This version skips all that and sticks to just pure magnesium sulfate, which helps ease sore muscles, tight hips, and even tension headaches if you’re the bath-before-bed type.

It’s one of the least expensive self-care swaps we’ve made, and somehow still feels like a major upgrade.

6. Poppy & Pout Lip Balm

This is the only lip balm I’ve ever used that didn’t leave my lips more chapped 20 minutes later.

After years of trying everything from drugstore basics to the “natural” stuff that still somehow dries me out, I finally found this. It’s clean, it’s smooth, and it actually works. Total game changer for someone who used to carry three backups and still end up frustrated.

If you’re thinking about trying one, I linked it on the Amazon Faves page, because nothing this fabulous should stay secret…

7. ella+mila Nail Polish

A safer swap when I want pretty nails without a chemical cocktail.

I’m not a regular polish person but when inspiration strikes, this is the only bottle I’ll reach for. Quick story: the brand was founded by a mom while she was pregnant with her twin daughters (Ella + Mila) because she couldn’t find safe polish for them to use. Pretty tubular. 🤙 That means you’re getting high-shine, chip-resistant color without the nasty additives. Boom points. 😎💣 (A phrase we coined for only the most cool sayings. That’s right, you have now been entered into the inner circle, you’re welcome). 😌

Not Perfect, Just Paying More Attention

If any of these got your wheels turning, that’s kind of the point. You don’t have to replace everything. Maybe just the next thing you’re about to run out of. 🤷‍♀️ That save for later comment is no joke. I’ve got 600 and I’ve learned that is the max…

Let us know if you’ve found a clean body product you actually love, and keep an eye out, because our next Amazon roundup is focused on hiking prep essentials (and yes, bug bite sticks and anti-chafe balm will be making an appearance).
Catch you later! ✌️
